DPF cleaning may be possible on some vehicles where the unit has become prematurely blocked due to excessive short journeys or some other mechanical failure that has prevented the DPF from regenerating these include EGR valves, DPF pressure sensors, EGT sensors glow plugs to name a few. Cleaning a DPF is not advisable for a unit that has come to the end of its service life as this offers a temporary fix and in most cases the DPF will become blocked once again in a short period of time.
